4 DIY Home Remedies for Hair Growth

Aloe Vera

This plant is packed with properties that will keep your hair and scalp healthy. Supplies needed: An aloe leaf

  • Cut the Aloe leaf open and extract the aloe.
  • Apply aloe to scalp and hair.
  • Let sot for one hour.
  • Wash hair with shampoo.

For best results, use Aloe Vera at least twice a week.

Honey

Honey contains antioxidants that can help eliminate free radicals from your scalp. Honey may also hydrate your scalp, and strengthen hair follicles and strands.

Supplies needed: 1 teaspoon of honey and 2 tablespoons of shampoo

  • Mix honey with shampoo and wash hair as you would normally.

For best results wash hair with honey twice a week.

Green Tea

This tea is well know for the high content of antioxidants it contains, which, like in the case of honey, protecs your scalp against da,age by free radicals. Green tea also stimulates follicles, keeps dandruff under control , strengthens hair and has a potential for hair regrowth.

Supplies needed: 1 green tea bag, 2 cups of hot water.

  • Soak tea bags in hot water for 7 to 8 minutes.
  • Apply green tea to hair and scalp.
  • Leave tea on for an hour.
  • Rinse hair with cold water.

Rice Water

Rice water contains inositol, a carbohydrate that can repair damaged hair. Inositol stays in the hair even after rinsing, which grants a continuous protective effect.

Supplies needed: ½ cup of any variety of rice, 2 cups of water.

  • Soak the rice in water for 15 minutes
  • Strain the rice
  • Pour rice water over scalp and hair.
  • Massage scalp for a few minutes then rinse hair with either water or shampoo

Using rice water twice a week is OK for hair.
